This Deep Water Hybrid Metrology Service is the result of the cooperation of CYBERNETIX and ADVANCED SUBSEA (HM-TOOL© based method). This Service is available in GoM, Brazil and West Africa for Oil&Gas companies, Installation Contractors, ROV Construction Support Subcontractors.
1- Hybrid Metrology Services
This ADVANCED SUBSEA’s service is based on the deployment and operation of an Hybrid Metrology Tool (HM-TOOL©) built of a fully instrumented Taut-wire based System, coupled with an Acoustic based system.
* Both systems are operated at the same time, from the same frames tied to each structure flanges/HUBs,
* This allows to determine Jumper/spool fabrication parameters (max range 100m/330 ft) with a very high accuracy using 2 independent methods.
* Automatic QC of readings and cross-comparison of results allow Barge/Vessels superintendent to make very rapid decision.
2- HM-TOOL © (patent pending)
HM-TOOL is a new ROV deployed-metrology tool based on two concurrent technics : Taut Wire and Acoustics It provides in real-time :
* 3D-Offsets/attitude/orientation of each flange from EHF Inclinometer-Transponders,
* 3D-Offsets/attitude/orientation of each flange from Taut Wire tool derived parameters,
* QC, display and logging on surface unit,
* Dual presentation of Results issued from these 2 independent methods.QC and Cross-comparison of results provide final reliable results and save Construction Vessel time
